6. Brief Introduction of the Organization :

BRIDGE started its development activities on 1992 in the southern coastal region of Bangladesh for socioeconomic development of the deprived community of this region. BRIDGE started its program in Khulna and Bagerhat district under the leadership of some efficient, young, energetic and dedicated activities. Initially, started with micro-finance, education and handicraft program for the socio-economic development of disadvantaged people.Now, integrated program and project are implemented for poor and disadvantaged people in the supervised areas of Dhaka, Khulna, Bagerhat, Jessore, Gopalganj, Pirojpur, Barisal, Narial and Satkhira districts.BRIDGE has been already 13 programs are running(On going) such as: Micro-finance, Solar Home System, Rural piped water, Biogas, Training, Agro product, Rural Knowledge Centre(RKC), Non Formal Primary Education(NFPE), Health and Diagnostic Centre, Handicraft, Fisheries, Land Agrain and reform Project, Waste management recycling project , Water and sanitation.
