Energy/Environment/Climate Change/Disaster Information Network Network :

Renewable Energy and Environmental Information Network (REEIN) http://www.reein.org  domain vow to facilitate energy/climate change/natural disaster/environmental governance through representing an information platform/domain ( http://www.reein.org ). We already recognized the global trend of climate change, its consequences/impacts and potentials/magnitudes of related disasters/vulnerabilities. In this eve of rosy forecast, REEIN got something to do by disseminating information related to alternative/clean energy sources, technologies available for tapping/ utilization, environmental/climate change/disaster related issues.   

REEIN keeping eyes on how to harness renewable resources available for tapping, exploring technologies to make use of renewable resources, taking care of issues related to environmental sustainability, climate change and natural disaster (emphasis would be given to Bangladesh, as the country entitled the worst victim of climate change and vulnerabilities of natural disasters  which projected highest case in the world).   

It is however noticeable that the energy, climate change, disaster and environmental interest group experiencing difficulties for not getting sufficient access to information. REEIN, being implemented for stakeholders, project developers, entrepreneurs, NGO's, development partners, research & development organizations, students and interest groups. REEIN aims to remove the aforementioned barrier through representing an information platform with a comprehensive scope and long-term perspective. Efforts of REEIN to provide updated information on above issues in Bangladesh and globally (as much as possible).   

In current set of REEIN functions, through its web-based interface with green energies/environment /climate change/disaster related information being tailored specifically to meet the needs of  stakeholders, project developers, entrepreneurs, NGO's, development partners, research & development organizations, students and interest groups. It is expected that especially educational institutes can immensely benefit from the information services provided by REEIN.  

Initial  goals of REEIN ;  

1) Dissemination (demonstration) Renewable Energy Technologies (RET) and harnessing of Renewable Resources (RE)/Conventional energies/Environmental issues/Climate change/Disaster related issues comprehensively through REEIN portal. REEIN.ORG is going to be your one-stop information warehouse to keep you daily updated about those issues.

2) Create mass awareness about renewable energy resources and technologies available, how to tap renewable resources, awareness about environmental concern, impact of climate changes, natural disaster vulnerabilities and remedies.

3) Educate people about Renewable Energy Technologies (RET), make use renewable resources and energy efficiencies for environmental and livelihood sustainability, facing environment degradation challenges and  promotional campaign, adaptation of climate changes, create awareness about natural disasters risk / vulnerabilities and capacity development in coping with disasters.

REEIN Seeking Fund : REEIN facing acute financial crisis. It's survival now a big question. REEIN working quite voluntarily and desperately seeking fund from donor agencies/organizations, different charities, Climate fund, Disaster management organizations...
