What is REEIN ?
REEIN (http://www.reein.org) domain vow to promote energy/environmental governance in Bangladesh, as the country entitled the worst victim of climate change and vulnerabilities of natural disasters projected highest case in the world. In this eve of rosy forecast, REEIN got something to do by promoting alternative energy technologies and make use of renewable resources, taking care of issues related to environmental sustainability.
Efforts of REEIN to provide updated information about renewable energies, conventional energies and environmental issues in Bangladesh and globally (as much as possible). We already recognized that energy and environmental interest group experiencing difficulties for not getting sufficient access to information about renewable energies, their prospects, economics and technologies, environmental issues . The Renewable Energy and Environmental Information Network (REEIN), being implemented for renewable energy project developers, NGO's, development partners, research & development organizations, entrepreneurs, environmental interests group. REEIN aims to remove the aforementioned barrier through representing an information platform with a comprehensive scope and long-term perspective.
In current set of REEIN functions, through it's web-based interface with renewable energy/environment related information being tailored specifically to meet the needs of all energy interests group, general public, enthusiasts, energy planners, project developers, researchers, entrepreneurs, students and all other relevant organizations & institutions in developing renewable energy projects and promotion of renewable energy utilization in Bangladesh. It is expected that especially educational institutes of Bangladesh can immensely benefit from the information services provided by REEIN.
Goals of REEIN to;
1) Dissemination and demonstration Renewable Energy Technologies (RET) and environmental issues in broader spectrum
2) Create mass awareness about Renewable Energy Resources and Technologies available in Bangladesh
3) Educate people about Renewable Energy Technologies (RET) and make use renewable resources for environmental and livelihood sustainability
